About
S.P.A.C.E. LARP was originally the brainchild of a couple of LARP loving people who live in the city of Carlisle situated in the Isle of the United Kingdom. Inspiration for the game has been drawn from the following games in the following ways: special Calls and “Kits” from Odyssey, Melee Combat and LARP Safety rules from GOSH, Ranged combat from Chrome Prophecy and Background Material from the Original S.P.A.C.E LARP system which drew it's background concept from the Pen and Paper RPG Cosmic Patrol (written by Catalyst Game Labs, licensed under a creative Commons Attribution-Non-commercial-Share Alike 3.0 License) as well as the early scifi writers, movies and TV programs of the 1920's through to the 1970's.
S.P.A.C.E. LARP 2.0 has been designed with simplicity in mind. While it is presented in a linear Player vs Enemy game play style the world in which the players explore and inhabit has a player driven aspect to it. The system mechanics have been created from scratch and should be considered to be currently in development. Subsequently this does mean that the rules can and will change over time as they are put to practical use allowing us to streamline and improve the system. They should also be considered to be under the Creative Commons Licecnce (CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 UK)

Personal Note
This is a quick thank you to everyone who has helped SPACE through it's creation to the game it is now and to acknowledge all your imput and hard work. It's safe to say SPACE wouldn't be what it is now without all your help along the way.
Our Game world has come quite a distance from it's humble origins of being nothing but a LRP conversion of the tabletop RPG Cosmic Patrol, but we hope you will enjoy the cheesy Sci Fi 1920-40's Dan Dare esq genericly inspired game about rockets robots and rayguns as much as we have creating the world in all it's incarnations.
Honrable mentions for the people who helped with the journey into the cosmos:
Dan Bearchell, James Frost, Keith Richardson, Will Hodgson, Paul Sharrock (from afar), Andrew Dixon, James Crawford, Shaun Graham, Andrew Law, Steve Burns, Sam Richardson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Nik Heeley and Stuart Dalgliesh.
James & Cesca, The S.P.A.C.E. Patrol Team.
