Character Creation
Welcome to Character Creation. Here you will find a basic Character Sheet and the step by step guide to creating a new character. Space is based around a very simple character creation process. By doing this we aim to make the character sheet information simple and easy for players to memorise and the game balanced.
Note: Please complete the blank character sheet and hand in a copy to Francesca at your first session (or send a typed up copy of your character sheet details if possible prior to your first session) so you can be added to the player datatbase. Thank you :)

Stage 1: Select your Home world.
There are three home worlds to choose from:
Earth - home of mankind and the HQ of S.P.A.C.E. Patrol. When human races were discovered on the other planets the humans from earth dubbed themselves 'Terrans' humans from the planet earth tend to be quite good with technology.
Venus - Venus is home to the Venetians. They had learned to use their minds and brains and built an advanced civilisation utilising the help of autobots. Venetians tend to stick to careers in science helping create bigger and better inventions. All Venusians have a latent level of psychic ability at birth. Only a specific few develop these powers beyond a basic level during childhood and on towards adulthood.
Mars - Martians occupy the planet Mars. This race is primarily of warriors lead in a matriarchal society. While they have not pursued the sciences or built a technologically advanced society. There are few to rival them in their artistic tendencies or war strategies. The Martian red blade is a formidable weapon which doesn't require recharging and works in all atmospheres.

Stage 7: Picking Your Kits
Kits. Kits are the most ingegral part of the character creation process.
Each of the different planets produces individuals with different skills. These are what we call ‘kits’. For example, Martians are better at fighting, Terrans have a very good knack of healing species of any planet, and some Venusians are gifted with psychic powers. Each kit has five different abilities if you choose to go with your Homeworld kit.
However, you can play ‘off kit’ and choose any four abilities from the off-kit list to use instead. Some Terrans train long and hard in the art of war but will never be as good as a Martian-Born Fighter. Equally, some Martians have actually managed to work out how to heal each other, but usually not very well.
Check out the different Kits and the Off Kit options here
