advancement
After every event, whether or not you actually completed your mission, the following happens:
If there are any glaring mistakes or overpowered abilities, these may be changed mid-season. Usually, we will make changes at the end of a plot arc then publish a revised set of rules (Which have been dubbed patch notes and will usually advance the in game world plot with their introduction), which will come into effect at the start of the next arc.
Before an event, it is good practice to send your Mission Point spends to the refs. This will allow them to update character sheets and write a new game plot based around newly acquired skills. You do not have to spend Mission Points straight away. There are some very powerful advances that require 2 or even 3 Mission points to buy.
- Any permanent damage is recovered.
- Your ranged weapons are recharged ready to use again for the next event.
- You get 1 mission point to spend on advances. Additional mission points may be awarded for ‘cool’ things in game or good roleplay.
- Any broken or damaged weapons and armour are repaired by S.P.A.C.E patrol.
